Our Programs

 

 

 

H.E.L.P. is designed to teach the emotional intelligence necessary to succeed  in relationships and in life by enhancing positive self-concept, coping skills, and expression of feelings through experiential learning activities. The result is a powerfully effective, interesting and fun alternative to traditional learning environments, and is applied with the highest degree of integrity and professionalism. All services are donation-based and all ages are welcome.

 

Our goal is to help participants find the value, dignity and respect of their dreams- dreams each of us have of worth, independence and authenticity. By developing confidence, strength and vision (mixed with a little encouragement and common sense), the goal of a happy, productive life can be attained;  even in the midst of crisis, hostility, depression, poor choices, and self-destructive behaviors. We believe in the transforming power of love, and its power to inspire the courage necessary to reach these goals.

 

In our Experiential Learning activities for groups or individuals, facilitators and participants engage in direct experience and focused reflection to develop skills, values and emotional intelligence without dominating or judging the experience. Sessions are designed to last approximately 50 minutes, and are integrated with reflective processes that help learners explore the experience, analyze the patterns that emerge, and transfer learning to their work, home and school environments. They are especially helpful for individual or group leadership development, home-school, church, youth and women’s groups, and physically/emotionally impaired individuals.  

 

It is our vision to one day have a ranch facility where HELP activities will be integrated into a day program where students will be given the opportunity to apply themselves in an environment rich in experiential  learning activities.

 

Heartland staff members possess  Florida Department of Law Enforcement and FBI background clearance certification, as well as clearance through

Community Partnership for Children for their work with area Foster Children.
